Every now and again I take up graphite. There is something so satisfying about pencil on paper. HB2,
HB4, HB5. HB6, and HB8. Recently I have been splurging on filling up small sketchbooks that are half done or 3/4 done with these small faces.
There is something so compelling about a face -- each so unique, each with its own expressions and features. The hard part is capturing them with any kind of animation.

It suggests bad weather, turbulence. The sky is ominous, threatening. The sea is building up to a rough ride. Is it arriving or departing?
