To be alert to the forces of darkness and division is to be mindful of the suffering of the peoples of the planet who are part of our collective family. What are those forces of darkness and how do we apply a remedy? I suppose the remedy starts with examining our own selves, our own focus on our selves, our own warts, so to speak. Reflection is necessary but action must follow.

Every now and again I take up graphite. There is something so satisfying about pencil on paper. HB2,
HB4, HB5. HB6, and HB8. Recently I have been splurging on filling up small sketchbooks that are half done or 3/4 done with these small faces.
There is something so compelling about a face -- each so unique, each with its own expressions and features. The hard part is capturing them with any kind of animation.

It suggests bad weather, turbulence. The sky is ominous, threatening. The sea is building up to a rough ride. Is it arriving or departing?
