The light stays in liquid form, I think.

Sky Infusion
The landscape features most prominently in the body of my work. It is a landscape of suggestion, rather than a faithful figurative rendering; it is a landscape of fiction and abstraction. Major influences on my work have been the Canadian landscape, the tropical forest of the Congo and the land of the Mediterranean/Middle East. Born in Exeter, Ontario,I studied at the University of Prince Edward Island, McGill University in Montreal and the Université du Québec à Trois Rivières.
I always ask one question; when does the unconventional become so utterly conventional as to become uninteresting - dull in fact? I hope these are not dull whatever else they are. Let me know what you think.

Essential Sky
Atmosphere in layers of sky, layers of sea and layers of rock, make impressions in the mind collected like so many sea shells and fossils.

Uncertain Ground
This painting shifted in concept and composition from my original idea. I
continued my exploration of the subject, letting it lead me where it
needed to go, letting go of my direction. The ambiguities in the
composition speak of uncertainties, in life and the physical
geography of where we live.

Storms, tides, earthquakes, and other
natural disasters erode convictions. Contemplating life and the
mercurial changes around us, this painting speaks to me of the
uncertainties of life.
