Drawing in the Month of January

Drawing is an exercise in imagination -- allowing the mind to wander, to become aware, to take note of the road signs and keep going.

                                                                           Ink 21-January-2022 (8 x 5.5)

Sometimes the direction along the road call for correction before continuing and  once the route has been re-plotted you are free to wander again.

                                                                             Ink 17-January-2022 (8 x 5.5)

How do you know you are there?

                                                                             Ink 15-January-2022 (8 x 5.5)

Sometimes you end up at the finish line,

                                                                             Ink 23-January-2022 (8 x 5.5)

sometimes you end up in a labyrinth.

                                                                                 Ink 24-January-2022 (8 x 5.5)

The excesses of December warrant black and white austerity.

                                                                                 Ink 27-January-2022 (8 x 5.5)

A Constituted Moment?

It's not what it started out to be, it's not what its original shape intended. Cut from its source, it lacks completion.

Centre or Centered?

Centre of the Universe or centered on the Universe - small change makes a large difference.

Impromptu

The title belies the form and the composition.
(mixed-media 6" x 4")
It appears improvised; it appears extemporaneous, and in a way this is true.

Openings in the Crevices

Cracks appear, a seed lands and something colourful appears, however briefly.
Crevices, 2018 (papiers colles, 6" x 4")
Surprising what we find in a rock close-up.

Directions in the New Year

Perhaps a more apt title is "Directions To the New Year. World of time and space move in a concurrent fashion where there is no pause to think.

It's moving quickly.

Still Life in the Library

Layers of sequence and consequence, of grace and angularity -- awkward views looking out at the world.
Drawing LMould 30 April 2017
A space that is so inward and regardless of platform, casts its net wide and its web out. Seemingly still but always in motion.
