At the Well

Source of water, we draw from a well. It sustains life. It is like a spring that seemingly renews itself as it gives, without asking why, its most precious resource.

Going to the well is "women's work".

  1. I like this one. I am curious the connection between the first and the last part. Part of me thinking that a woman is like a well in many ways, but yet here the woman is the one drawing from the well. This leaves me with questions. I like the questions.

    1. In one draft I did write "drawing from the well is women's work" but then thought the pun was over the top. Perhaps not.
