Within a few hours things can change, sometimes forever. Sometimes never to go back to what once was.
Perhaps this represents the moment before.

In association with the LMMI’s 15th biennial conference (22-26 June), I have one of three special exhibitions on display at UPEI’s Robertson Library.
"L.M. Montgomery’s landscape descriptions allow readers to envision the Island before ever having actually seen it. The black lettering organized on pages enters through our eyes and into our mind. There we see with our inner eye a world of her making that combines with our own imagination.
The
artistic representation of that world is portrayed by its own re-visioning in
imaginary landscapes of shore and field. Abstraction and imagination are the
key words, but key words can never convey thought or concepts formed by the
endless immensity of the imagination."

A week is a time unit equal to seven days.

A lot can happen in a week.
Flooded by tides in an eternal ebb and flow, the coastal wetlands are the harbinger of health – the unseen activity of marine life.
Drawing is an exercise in imagination -- allowing the mind to wander, to become aware, to take note of the road signs and keep going.
Ink 21-January-2022 (8 x 5.5)
Sometimes the direction along the road call for correction before continuing and once the route has been re-plotted you are free to wander again.

sometimes you end up in a labyrinth.

The excesses of December warrant black and white austerity.
It is a fine dance among the elements; it is a play on light and wind. 2024 Coastal Dance (paper, 15 x 11.5) See my website at https:/...
